Robert H. Walker

Your first contact with photography of Palm Beach will be with me, Robert H. Walker, who is one of the owners of this family run enterprise. I run all the business end of the photography services. I answer the phone as well as the e-mails with customer inquiries and questions.

I am the business manager who does the scheduling, billing, meeting with customers and everything related to the website. I had my pictures published in a minor local newspaper. I also had my pictures printed by a Florida professional color magazine twice. I am the second photographer or second shooter and they would be responsible for making sure all the redundant Nikon photography equipment is cared for and available in case a camera or lens may fail.

One only gets a single chance to capture the family memories of an event. We use triple backup drives at multiple locations of the digital images that we take and we keep these on record for at least two years to ensure nothing gets lost.

Roberts’s education consists of going to what is now Palm Beach Florida State College for two years where I was a dual major as I took computer science and business administration. I currently hold a bachelor's degree in an educational discipline from a small religious out of state school.

My work as second photographer or second shooter is mainly responsible for taking pictures of guests, while the first main photographer would be taking pictures of the primary subject. In a wedding, the primary photographer would concentrate on the bride and groom, bridal party consisting of the groomsmen and bridesmaids and pictures of the immediate family.

Why you should hire a professional wedding photographer

I have been involved in the wedding business since 2001 and was trained in the art of photography by a wedding photographer since 2006. I like taking non-posed candid pictures of the guests as they are having fun. Guests when they have had a few drinks and then they start having fun make for some interesting pictures. Candid pictures are my specialty with the formal photography assignments.

A second photographer taking digital images or pictures of guests is very useful for large family functions. We make sure everyone at the event has at least one picture taken. You should know that as a backup wedding photographer I took my camera to many of my weddings and shot pictures for hours at a time for free just to gain knowledge, experience and to build his portfolio. Only one bride ever said no to free photography that I offered. She had paid for a very expensive professional photographer and did not want me to get in his way.

Christina G.

Christina G. likes the smaller informal photography assignments, like beach weddings and small family get-togethers, like baby showers. Christina is generally our budget priced photographer for the beach weddings.

I like to use women photographers for weddings as they understand what women want to make them look glamorous. She has been doing digital photography for several years and film before that.

She has been doing small intimate beach weddings for several years and she has a knack for getting nervous brides relax on their wedding day. Christina is semi-retired and is also an artist as she loves to paint. She has sold her painting artwork on occasion. She says painting is one of her pleasures in life as she finds it is relaxing and says it is inspiring for her to be creative.

Christina likes to capture the wedding or other family event as it happens and lets the pictures tell the story. This type of photography is sometimes known as the photojournalistic approach. Christina likes to get the people to relax and enjoy themselves as she takes their pictures. She feels people should have fun at their wedding or other photographic event. Christina has a master’s degree in liberal arts, a major that she earned in Eastern Europe. She seems to have mastered the art of outdoor photography and loves garden inspired weddings or family events. One needs to have good feelings and emotions to have a creative spirit.

Tepin

Tepin is our primary photographer for the larger more formal professional photography assignments. She has extensive professional experience as a photographer. Your digital pictures shall be meticulously edited when you book our pro photo services.

She has done a great deal of wedding photography, birthday parties, quinces as well as virtually every other major family event. She has a bachelor’s degree in education with a film photography and video media background. Tepin worked as the Florida correspondent with a small national newspaper as a photojournalist and IPTV foreign language news station for over one year.

She has over 25 years of film and digital photography experience. She studied photography formally in college and originally had her start in 35mm film photography. Tepin had experience having worked in a darkroom developing film negatives. I like to use women for professional photography work and especially for weddings as they understand what women want to make themselves look glamorous.

She can line up the guests and pose them a certain way to minimize weight or wrinkles. Tepin is very versatile and does formal posed, candid as well as the photojournalism style of photography. Tepin is well versed in angles, lighting, posing and composition to make the pictures look their best.
Around the year 2005 or so Tepin made the transitional change and migrated from film to digital photography. Tepin loves the formal posed family pictures and few professional photographers have more experience with wedding photography as she has shot well over a hundred weddings over the last several years or so as I quit counting.

Tepin learned the art of Photoshop and digital editing as she worked at a commercial graphic arts business in Miramar, Fl. She can remove wrinkles or scars with ease with the magic of Adobe’s Photoshop digital photo editing software. It is amazing what one can do with Photoshop and when you get the professional photography package you get pro edited results for your pictures. Photoshop can do most anything, but it is time consuming and labor intensive.

If you want your old family pictures or digital images retouched in Photoshop or edited Tepin can do this for $65 an hour. Adobe Photoshop has made the traditional film darkroom obsolete. Tepin also uses Nikon cameras and lenses for her professional photography. Tepin can do color, black and white or sepia pictures for that old fashioned photography technique.

More About Our Photography Services

Many photographers charge you by the print or picture and each and every picture that you buy will be paid for individually. This can add up to quite an expense sum as some photographers will charge up to seven dollars for a 4 x 6 picture print. Photographers that charge per print know that you may pay this for family members, but it is unlikely that you will purchase any prints of your guests at this price.

So many photographers that charge by the print will sadly neglect taking pictures of your guests for this reason. We at photography of Palm Beach always give you a CD with your digital images and pictures. They are your pictures and we want you to have them! You also get a copyright release so that you may make unlimited copies of your picture prints for your personal enjoyment and non-commercial usage. You may make unlimited copies of your CD with all your digital images and pictures to share with all your family and friends. You can e-mail your family and friends, post your pictures online to share with the entire world or you can make your prints the old-fashioned way. We shoot all of our digital images or pictures in large JPEG or what is called high resolution so you can make enlargements with no problem at all or one can have extensive editing or digital retouching done without a loss of quality of the image.

I want you to know that we have professional lenses that are called “fast glass” or f 2.8 or a 1.4 f/stop lens that is great for low light or sports photography. But you should know that Catholic Church weddings and Jewish temples doing a bar / bat Mitzvahs often do not allow the usage of flash photography. It is very difficult to get great pictures without the use of a flash speed light. These religious ceremonies often restrict the photographer to the back of the room at a sizable distance. This makes it most difficult to get a good angle and adequate lighting to provide professional quality pictures. We cannot guarantee pro quality photography under these circumstances.

Redundant cameras and equipment is very important in case one may have a problem with the camera or the related equipment. We use Nikon cameras and lenses as we feel that Nikon has set very high standards of quality. We trust Nikon and their equipment to deliver the very best in digital imaging. I believe that Nikon makes some of the world’s best photographic lenses and imaging glass. That is why we, as photographers, trust our photography business to Nikon cameras.
